CATEGORY : SHOW FLATS & DEVELOPMENTS

A beautiful three storey family home set in the grounds of a former college site owned by the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) in Redhill, Surrey.

This show home demonstrates a design that caters to the needs of any modern family, with a spacious first floor formal living area, a stunning kitchen, dining, family area leading straight onto the garden, four large bedrooms and a great basement TV room.

Suna Interior Design brought a palette of rich blues topped with dashes of mustard yellow into play alongside some choice feature wallpapers to create an aspirational and captivating show home, whilst at the same time ensuring that the property remained welcoming, attainable and eminently functional for the target market.

CATEGORY : HEALTHCARE & WELLNESS DESIGN

Suna Interior Design had a very clear brief from their client – this ‘Extra Care, Over 55’ development was to be something people ‘aspired to’ rather than ‘settled for’. There were numerous communal spaces to design but also numerous special sector considerations to factor in.

Suna were determined to avoid the stereotypical institutional look this sector often falls into. Colour and contrast have been used carefully throughout the spaces to ensure they look beautifully designed but help support people with visual impairments and dementia. Flooring has been carefully chosen to work with the overall design, whilst being practical and assisting natural flow between spaces without distractions. Suna worked alongside a specialist sector supplier and designed and manufactured items to support comfort, mobility and safety whilst still feeling ‘interior designed’.

The client proclaimed the scheme a ‘gamechanger for the sector’, so it would seem Suna have delivered on their original brief!
