Mission Statement

 

As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and in conjunction with the
Design Declares movement, to which we have signed up, our Mission Statement outlines exactly what we will be doing at Suna Interior Design to ensure we are moving in the right direction.

  • Continue to raise awareness of the climate and biodiversity emergencies and the urgent need for action amongst our clients and supply chains

  • Advocate for faster change in the industry towards regenerative design practices

  • Share knowledge and research on an open-source basis

  • Implement company-wide initiatives to evaluate projects and sustainable plus-points that contribute positively to mitigating climate breakdown and encourage our clients to adopt this approach in our designs

  • Investigate ways we can act to address the disproportionate impact of these crises on disadvantaged communities by researching external organisations that support global and local projects which provide climate solutions

  • Ensure diverse and inclusive principles are implemented in hiring and retaining staff so that people of all backgrounds can participate in decision-making about the future of the designed environment

  • Request 3rd party certification from our supply chain so that we gain independent verification that a product or service has the expected compliance with specific standards for safety, quality or performance

  • Accelerate the shift to conscious design by including sustainable materials in our designs and by implementing sustainable principles in our operational practices

  • Collaborate with our install and delivery teams to further reduce delivery and packaging waste in order to minimise wasteful use of resources in interior design, both in quantum and in detail
