TWENTY QUESTIONS

QUESTION ONE : Describe yourself in three words.

Creative, food-driven, dog-mad

QUESTION TWO : Give us a quick run down of a typical day at Suna for you?

My days are very varied, depending how many projects I have on and what stage of the project I am at, I could be searching for design inspiration on Pinterest, drawing up plans and elevations on AutoCAD or modelling up a fabulous space on SketchUp, all while responding to queries on site and talking to different suppliers. We will often have informal catch-ups at someone’s desk, asking for opinions on designs, or talk about a cool design we have spotted on someone’s screen which is great for getting those creative juices flowing.

QUESTION THREE : What’s your favourite Suna project?

There are so many great projects! I love the Central Marketing Suite that Katie completed for Mount Anvil, especially the reception space with the curved reception desks and the slatted curved and curtained wall behind it, using a dreamy materials and colour palette as well. Other great ones by our Residential Amenity team are Colindale Gardens and Fizzy Living Silvertown Way!

QUESTION FOUR : Tell us something about you we would never guess?

I lived in China for 3 years while doing my A-levels. I also used to do ballroom dancing and even competed in Blackpool with the Cardiff University Team.

QUESTION FIVE : If you had £1,000,000 what would you spend it on?

I would travel the world as there are so many places I want to go – New Zealand, the Azores and Mexico are top of my list.

QUESTION SIX : Favourite food/drink?

Pizza! I love it so much, I even had a pizza van at my wedding.

My favourite drink would have to be a sweet cocktail with a sour kick, such as an Amaretto Sour or a Cosmopolitan, but I do also love a Negroni.  At Suna quite a few of us have discovered the delights of a Camomile tea with honey and oatmilk, which is my drink of choice in the office.

QUESTION SEVEN : Least favourite food/drink?

Cauliflower and sprouts – yuck.

Least favourite drink has to be straight vodka!

QUESTION EIGHT : Favourite film?

Grease! That’s and the BBC version of Pride & Prejudice.

QUESTION NINE : Favourite holiday destination?

Hands-down winner is Japan, it is such an incredible place with great culture, easy travel and delicious food.

QUESTION TEN : What are your top three pet peeves?

The dishwasher not being stacked properly, people chewing loudly while eating and things taking much longer than they need to.

QUESTION ELEVEN : What does an ‘ideal weekend’ look like for you?

Spending the day outside in the sunshine with lovely people, my dog and great food – preferably brunch which leads to coffee and cake which then leads to supper!

QUESTION TWELVE : Favourite restaurant/hotel?

There are far too many great restaurants to choose from, but I have had some great pizza at Squares Pizza near Finsbury park and Bravi Ragazzi in Streatham, as well as Ffwrnes pizza in Cardiff. Other fantastic (and beautiful) restaurants in London are the Palomar for Israeli food and Som Saa for Thai!

The most fantastic hotel I’ve ever stayed at is the Bennesse House Hotel in Naoshima, Japan by architect Tadao Ando.

I also love the design of the Puro hotels (especially  both of the Krakow hotels). The  Killiehuntly hotel in the Scottish Highlands is somewhere I would love to go stay.

QUESTION THIRTEEN : Dream home?

I love trawling through the homes on Architectural Digest (their videos are great too), and stumbled across Many Moore’s Pasadena home https://www.architecturaldigest.com/story/mandy-moore-takes-ad-inside-her-dreamy-1950s-home

I love a home with character and this 1950’s home has buckets of it! The mix of materials and the colour palette is just dreamy! Also would never say no that view and the swimming pool.
